Anti Social Social Club Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: Cherry Blossom 29 in Black, Checked Against the Dropdown and the Scale

We ordered the Cherry Blossom 29 Black raglan tee at $6.87, logged the warehouse timestamp and 41 QC photos, then measured the delivered shirt against the posted chart. A relaxed, print-forward streetwear tee — provided you verify the colorway code and never tumble-dry it.

Anti Social Social Club listings are hard to review as a single object, because the collection is not one shirt. The Weidian item behind this page (SKU 7718733486) holds a long dropdown of numbered colorways — the Cherry Blossom print series runs from roughly 01 to 29, most of them offered in black, white, grey or burgundy bases — across sizes S to XXL. So our testing team did what the spreadsheet workflow demands: we picked one row, paid for it at $6.87 against a $7.28 list price, recorded the order date and the warehouse timestamp, and then checked the physical tee against the row we had saved.

The shirt we ordered was Cherry Blossom 29 Black in size L. Everything below refers to that specific option, and to the 41-image QC album the warehouse returned before the tracking number existed.

What the listing actually promises

Stripped of the styling, the product data is fairly specific, which makes it checkable:

  • Double-yarn cotton, 230gsm, standard thickness, printed finish
  • Pullover construction, collarless crew neck, no hood
  • Raglan short sleeves, loose fit, streetwear cut
  • Lettering and geometric print motifs across the chest
  • Stated seasons: spring, summer and autumn; casual use
  • Measurements carry a stated 1–3 cm tolerance

That tolerance line is the most useful sentence on the page and the most abused one in practice. It gives the seller room to be wrong by three centimetres on any axis, which is a full size in some charts. We therefore treated the chart as a range, not a number.

The photo sequence, in the order it arrived

Our order date and the agent's warehouse timestamp sat two days apart, which is unremarkable. The QC album came back before the tracking number, which matters more: it let us reject or accept the tee while the item was still in the warehouse. The album moved through the same order we use on every product check — flat-lay front, back, collar interior, both sleeve seams, a close-up of the print edge, and a tape-measure shot across the chest.

Two things were visible in that sequence and confirmed on the box. First, the raglan seam runs from collar to underarm on a diagonal, so there is no shoulder seam to measure. Anyone checking this tee with a standard shoulder-width number is measuring nothing. Second, the print sits high and centred on a black base, with a soft edge rather than a crisp plastisol line — closer to a water-based or thin transfer finish than a thick screen print.

Measurements against the posted chart

Hem widthNot listed54.5 cmNot verifiable

Both listed figures landed one centimetre over the chart, inside the 1–3 cm window. We could not verify 230gsm directly, because that figure describes the knit per square metre and not the finished shirt. Estimating from the panel area, we put the fabric in the low 220s — consistent with a mid-weight cotton rather than a heavyweight one, and consistent with the listing's own "standard thickness" wording.

Fabric, print and the wear log

Double-yarn cotton at this weight has a dry, slightly papery hand when new and softens after the first wash. Ours did. The loose fit is genuinely loose through the body without being boxy at the hem, and the crew neck kept its shape through three cold washes.

The print is where we would spend caution rather than praise. After three cold washes at 30 °C, air-dried and turned inside out, the graphic showed light surface crazing along the fold line where the shirt had creased in the wash bag. Nothing lifted. But the pattern matches what owners of retail ASSC tees report: heat is the enemy. One long-term owner's advice was blunt — hand wash, and never put it in the dryer, because the print cracks and comes off quickly. We did not tumble-dry our sample, and we would not.

Owners of Anti Social Social Club tees describe the garments as hand-wash, hang-dry items if you want the graphic to survive. Our three-wash result supports that without proving the print is fragile in normal cold washing.

We also have to register the recurring quality complaint against this brand. Some buyers call the tees thin and cheap-feeling for the money, describing them as basic blanks with a screen print. At $6.87 the value calculation is different from retail, but the description is not unreasonable for a 221 g loose-knit tee.

Sizing, and why one row is not the collection

Buyer reports on ASSC sizing conflict, and we will not smooth that over. Some owners say certain drops run very small and recommend going up at least one size; one 6 ft 3 in, 190 lb buyer takes 2XL across all ASSC tops instead of his usual XL. Others find the fit true to size or slightly big, and note that a wash tightens a loose fit. Inconsistency across drops, not a single systematic bias, is the pattern in the evidence.

Our size L measured one centimetre generous on two axes — nowhere near enough to settle the argument. The practical rule for this collection: pick the colorway first, then the size, then read the chart for that specific row. Do not carry a size across from a previous ASSC purchase, and do not assume Cherry Blossom 29 Black and Cherry Blossom 29 White run the same.

Timing and logistics

This brand's history of long handling is documented. Hypebeast reported the site warning buyers to allow 14–24 business days of shipping and handling plus 7–10 days for delivery after dispatch, and that history generated widespread complaints before logistics were reorganised around 2023. Our own run was faster than that window, but the seller-side risk is real and worth pricing into any deadline. If you need a tee for an event, order it a month out.

Our working summary

For $6.87, the evidence chain holds up: the row we saved, the colorway code in the dropdown, the warehouse photos and the physical shirt all described the same item, and both listed measurements fell inside the published tolerance. The open questions are the ones the listing cannot answer — whether 230gsm is accurate as a knit weight, and whether the next colorway in the sequence will fit like this one. Check the measurement chart per colorway, wash cold, keep it out of the dryer, and this is a sound relaxed streetwear tee at a low entry price.

Verdict de la rédaction

A low-risk relaxed raglan tee at $6.87 whose listed measurements held inside the published tolerance. Sizing reports conflict and the print hates heat, so verify the colorway row and wash cold.

Ce qui fonctionne
  • Double-yarn cotton with a mid-weight hand; loose body without a boxy hem.
  • Both listed measurements landed within the stated 1–3 cm tolerance.
  • Very wide numbered colorway run across S–XXL.
Points de vigilance
  • Print showed light surface crazing after three cold washes; heat is documented as the real threat.
  • Sizing evidence conflicts across people and drops, so a size cannot be carried over blind.
  • Brand history of long handling times, a risk on any deadline.

Got mine today, cherry blossom print looks even better in person than the QC pics. Measured against the posted chart and the length was spot on, sleeves maybe half an inch longer. Already thinking about the white one next.

Good breakdown of the warehouse timestamp stuff, I never check that. Shirt is a solid basic, slightly boxy which I like. The dropdown thing is real though, double check you picked the raglan version and not the plain tee.

fit is fine, print is fine. but mine shrank a bit in the wash and I only used low heat, so yeah take the tumble-dry warning seriously. wish I'd read that part first.

41 QC photos is wild but honestly that's what I needed, the print placement on the back was my worry. Mine arrived with the graphic centered, no cracking. For $6.87 I'm not complaining about anything.

Ordered the same Cherry Blossom 29 in black after reading this. My chest measurement came out close to the chart, maybe a hair looser, which is fine for a raglan. Only thing I'd flag is the colorway code — the listing has several black variants and one looks more washed out in the thumbnails. Ask your agent to confirm the code before they buy it.
